My Story (and Why I Can Help)
In 2007, a segment on the Today Show introduced me to a retiree earning $11,000 a month from a simple website. I wasn't just intrigued by the income. I was fascinated by the method: using the internet to build real revenue. So I dove in, and what I found was overwhelming. Every guru had a different system, every product promised overnight riches, and the get-rich-quick schemes were everywhere.
So I did what any engineer would do. I started testing things. Affiliate marketing, SEO, email marketing, content creation, podcasting. Some worked. Many did not. But I kept detailed notes on everything and started sharing what I learned.
Late Night Internet Marketing
In 2009, I launched the Late Night Internet Marketing blog and podcast. The name is not just a catchy title. I literally built my business late at night, after the kids were in bed and the day job was done. That's still the reality for most of my audience, and it's a reality I respect deeply. The tagline says it all: building internet businesses one night at a time.
The show has grown into one of the longest-running online business podcasts anywhere, with more than 270 episodes since 2009. Now in its second era as Late Night Internet Marketing and Online Business with Mark Mason, it covers everything from affiliate marketing fundamentals and SEO to email list building, content creation, and the mindset shifts it takes to succeed as a part-time entrepreneur. Along the way, juggling a demanding career and family life taught me how to get real work done in limited hours. That led to the ALIGN Productivity Framework, a system that helps side hustlers prioritize, stay focused, and hit their goals without burning out.
